WINDOW CLEANING

Do you use ladders?

We do not use ladders or climb. Because of ‘Working at height regulations 2005’ we have chosen to work at ground level. We use water-fed pole systems that enable us to achieve excellent window cleaning results without compromising our standards or safety. 

 

Why is my glass left wet?

We use pure water which is filtered 3 times and deionised. Because of this Pure water attracts the dirt and through the process of brushing and rinsing, you will have a small residue of pure water left on the windows. As it dries it will leave no marks or streaks. If you do see any marks just call us and we will come back and re-clean your windows for you.

 

Do we visit at the same time each 2, 4 or 6 weekly?

No the nature of the job means we are affected by bad weather and sometimes have to adjust our visits slightly a few days earlier or later. We will always send a text message to let you know when we intend to visit.

 

Do you clean the window sills and frames?

Yes, we will always clean the sills and frames when we clean your windows and make sure they are thoroughly rinsed.

 

What shall I expect on my first visit?

Cleaning your windows for the first time takes longer than a regular clean. Some cleaners charge extra for this but we do not as long as you agree to a regular clean of at least two visits. Over time there is a build-up of dirt and residue on your windows which also gets into the frames. After your first clean your windows might not be perfectly clean as dirt can seep out of the frames and vents. However, after the second visit, your windows will be sparkling clean.

 

What time will you arrive?

We cannot give a specific time of arrival, we operate from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. We will text you the day before to ask you to leave the access to the rear of your property open.

 

Do I have to sign up to a contract for window cleaning?

We don’t have contracts all we ask is you commit to 2 cleans and if you would like to cancel please contact us and we will sort this out for you.

 

Do you do one off cleans?

No, we don't offer one-off window cleans, we only accept customers who require a regular service.

 

Are you insured?

Yes, we have public liability insurance so you and your property are protected.

 

What if I forget to leave the gate open for access?

If we cannot access the rear of your property we will only clean the windows which are accessible and only charge you for the windows we have cleaned.

 

 

 

PAYMENTS:

 

Do you collect payments at a later date from our property?

We do not collect payments from customers at a later date, we aim for payments to be as easy and simple as possible for you and us, this is why we recommend GoCardless. If you are on the property at the time of cleaning we can offer card and contactless payments and apple and android pay. You can also pay by cash either directly or by leaving it in a safe place for us.

 

What is GoCardless?

GoCardless is a direct debit service which specialises in one off and reoccurring payments. It's not an automatic payment we only request payment 5 days after we have cleaned your windows. You will receive an email beforehand to let you know the payment has been requested and when it will be taken. We will not take a payment if we haven’t cleaned your windows and your bank details are never shared with us.

 

Can I cancel GoCardless anytime?

Yes, you can cancel it anytime just like normal direct debits.

 

Do you take payments over the phone?

No, we cannot take payments over the phone.

 

Can I pay online or bank transfer?

Yes, we can receive payments via Paypal or bank transfer, you will find the details on your window clean slip that we post through the door. (Please pay this within 5 days)
